This
zoo is in Royal Oak, and easy to get to from any part of
southeast Michigan. That's the new I-696 freeway passing
by on the right, and I-75 is two miles east. This is the
bigger of two zoos Detroit maintains. The other is on
Belle Isle. Some very innovative animal displays have
been installed in recent years making it definately worth
the trip. The
Michigan State Fairgrounds are two miles south, sight of the soon to be
built (40 million dollars) Motor City Speedway. This area is hot.
