Howell, Michigan - Known for it's delicious melons, the harvest and festival, a hot air balloon event has occured here annually in recent years. Looking west along Grand River, this was the main road from Detroit to Grand Rapids until I-96 was built. Livingston County offices are spread throughout the city.

Built over 100 years ago, the old county courthouse is solid as a rock.
